Religious Education Program (REP) Registration

Dates for registration are on the following Sunday’s after each mass:7/27, 8/17, 8/24, and 8/31. All fees must be paid at registration unless other arrangements have been made. All unpaid fees from last year must be paid for before registration. If your child will receive a sacrament this year (Reconciliation and Communion) a copy of his or her Baptismal certificate MUST accompany the registration.

ESL Volunteer tutors needed!

St. Rita of Cascia
St. Rita has an English program for women of the parish and we have successfully
completed our first year. We need more volunteers for the next school year. One
does not need to speak another language to teach English, and you do not need teaching experience, either. If you are interested in teaching, please call or email Paula Romano 630-892-6978, promanow45@gmail.com. Training is required, and will be provided at the end of August.

Dominican Center
Tutors are needed at the Dominican Literacy Center in Aurora. The Center is a literacy program for immigrant/low income women.

Female volunteers (who have finished high school) help individual students to read, write, and speak English. Tutoring sessions are for 90 minutes, once a week at 260 Vermont St, Aurora IL– behind St Theresa Church. All volunteers must attend training at the Center. The next training is August 19, 21, 26 and 28 from 6:00-8:30 p.m. It is necessary to attend all sessions You do not need to speak Spanish in order to tutor.
