Canon Law confirms this practice and states, “In accord with the approved practice of the Church, any priest celebrating or concelebrating is permitted to receive an offering to apply the Mass for a specific intention” (Can. 945 §1). |
“The Christian faithful who give an offering to apply the Mass for their intention contribute to the good of the Church and by that offering share its concern to support its ministers and works” (Can. 946). |

We ask that all Mass Intentions be scheduled at least 3 weeks in advance. For more information on Mass Intentions, please contact the parish office at 630-892-5918 or email to [email protected].
If you would like Mass Intentions for that same day, please arrive to the church 15 minutes before Mass and fill out an envelope with your intention and donation. Please know that if intentions have already been made for a given mass, we may not be able to accommodate your intention at that mass on that day, however all requests for masses will be fulfilled. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We want to be sure all Mass Intentions are being handled properly.
A suggested donation for Mass Intentions within the Diocese of Rockford is $10.
